Nine to Five

Cedar Rapids Premiere

Music and Lyrics by Dolly Parton Book by Patricia Resnick

Three unlikely friends take control of their office and learn there is nothing they can’t do, even in a man’s world. Nine to Five The Musical is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic. Nine to Five is one of the funniest shows to hit the 2019 season.

Music and Lyrics by Christopher Curtis

Book by Christopher Curtis and Thomas Meehan

From the slums of London to the heights of Hollywood, Chaplin is the showbiz musical about the silent film legend the world couldn’t stop talking about. Chaplin had to become the most famous man in the world before he could find happiness by becoming his true self. RTC is proud to be one of two theaters in the country (post its 2012 Broadway run) to produce the musical before it hits the London stage with a new world premier in 2019.

The first collaboration by the legendary team of Rodgers and Hammerstein became a landmark musical in 1943 for its rollicking music and dance.
