Venue: CSPS HallRevival Theatre Company is seeking a Technical Director to build for its upcoming season. Revival Theatre Company is a professional theatre in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We produce an all musical theatre repertoire. The pay for the season is $5,500.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities:
- Management Of Carpentry Personnel.
- Purchasing Needed Items For Build.
- Instruct Carpentry Crew On Scenic Construction Standards And Best Practices.
- Quality Control For All Pieces Of Scenery Constructed In The Shop.
- Lead And Assist Administration And Supervision Of All Safety Systems.
- Lead And Assist Management Of Build Schedules For All Shows Assigned.
- Maintenance Of Scene Shop Equipment.
- Maintain A Clean And Safe Work Environment.
- Building As Well As Supervising.
Qualifications And Skills:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree In Technical Theatre Or Related Field / Equivalent Experience
Preferred. - Minimum 3 Years’ Experience In Technical Theatre Preferred.
- Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
- Ability To Lead And Supervise A Crew.
- Strong Organizational Skills.
- Knowledge Of Automation, Flying Systems, Special Effects, Or Any Other Cross-Disciplinary
Knowledge Is A Plus. - A Positive Attitude And Able To Troubleshoot And Flex As Needed.

Venue: CSPS HallPrincipal Duties And Responsibilities:
The Assistant Stage Manager (ASM) assists the Stage Manager with a wide variety of responsibilities. This can include attending production meetings, running rehearsals, clerical organization, and ensuring the smooth execution of performances.
- Help the stage manager ensure the stage or rehearsal space is ready for each rehearsal. This could include sweeping, setting up furniture, set pieces, and props.
- Responsible for making quick, immediate and discretionary decisions in order to maintain the overall quality and integrity of each production.
- Supervises local stagehands.
- Helps to maintain cleanliness and safety of rehearsal hall and venue environments.
- Works with the stage manager to prepare and maintain technical documentation.
- Gives clerical support to the production manager and stage manager as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Skills:
- Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess a high level of digital literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must possess strong project management skills including planning, organizing, prioritizing, implementing, and evaluating.
- Must demonstrate a high-degree of integrity, dependability, accountability, and global fluency.
