Vision
Revival Theatre Company is committed to producing excellence in musical theatre through artistic storytelling that will inspire and engage us in conversations about the human experience and the world in which we live. Code of Conduct
Revival Theatre Company (RTC) strives to provide a safe and respectful environment for its staff, board, artists, audiences, guests and volunteers. This code of conduct outlines the expectations for anyone who works at, visits or engages with RTC in any way. The purpose of this document is to help us all work together in new ways to create a workplace where we all feel. Where our differences can be celebrated.
- We are inclusive and respectful of all people. This includes, but is not limited to, people of every race, ethnicity, gender identity/expression, disability status, marital status, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, age, physical appearance/body size, language, and economic status/wealth.
- We are mindful of what we say and do. We have zero tolerance for harmful language or actions, including, but not limited to, hate speech, bullying, trolling, verbal abuse, slurs, negative stereotyping and degrading comments.
- We honor the personal space and boundaries of others. Any unwelcome attention or unwanted physical contact will not be tolerated, including, but not limited to, sexual harassment, sexist remarks, suggestive comments or gestures.
- We invite audience members to engage fully and be themselves. Everyone responds to theatre differently, and we welcome all forms of audience expression during RTC productions, programs and events. Responses that are harmful or disparaging to actors, staff or other audience members will not be tolerated.
- We are mindful of the well-being of others. In addition to following the theatre’s health and safety policies, we recognize that our personal health and safety choices can impact those around us.
- Create a liberated and supportive environment. A “brave space,” where people can feel safe to share their concerns and experiences.
- Understand and uphold reporting standards and guidelines. This is for employees, contractors, and guests.
As a theatre community, we will work together to uphold this code of conduct and ensure our spaces are anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-discriminatory and welcoming to all.
