Parade In Concert

Casting notes: This is presented as a concert, with a large choir, an orchestra with the leading players performing the action. Many African American roles available.

LEO FRANK (Lead)
Our story’s tragic protagonist accused of murder. As National Pencil Factory Superintendent, Leo is neurotic and a serial pessimist. Though married to Lucielle, he is physically and emotionally displaced. A white Jewish man from the North.

The title character, a young North Carolina woman whose face was scarred in a childhood accident. She is stubborn and prickly, but filled with equal parts hope and obsession that she may heal and be made beautiful.
